Informing elementary school students about the “One Health” approach implemented within the CROOH project

On Friday, April 4, 2025, education was held for elementary school children related to topics related to food safety, among which the “One Health” approach was mentioned. The education was held by employees of the Center for Food Safety Vlatka Buzjak Služek and Barbara Lendić.

Several (7) students from grades 5-8 of the Vladimir Nazor Elementary School in Čepin learned about the CROOH project and the One Health approach. The topic of One Health was mentioned as part of a lecture on the basics of food safety, tips for proper food handling, and genetically modified organisms. A presentation of the CROOH project and the One Health approach was held at the Topline branch school, which is an integral part of the Ivana Brlić Mažuranić Koška Elementary School. As part of the school project “I Think Green, I Save the Earth”, lower grade students (20 of them) together with their teachers had the opportunity to hear about the basic principles of the One Health approach and its importance for food safety and all of us.
