The meeting, organised by EFSA with the support of ECDC and the European Commission – HaDEA, took place on 8 and 9 July 2025 at the premises of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) in Parma, Italy.

Through interactive sessions, case exchanges and facilitated discussions, participants had the opportunity to share practical experiences of countries in implementing the One Health project, identify the main challenges and drivers in coordinated surveillance systems, discuss the added value of multi-sectoral approaches to disease surveillance and find improvements in surveillance priorities and methods in the future.

Meeting gathered representatives from 23 European countries, EFSA experts , experts from ECDC and the Commission. It was an opportunity to exchange views and experiences and to network with colleagues across EU with similar ideas and interests.

Country representatives also had opportunity to share important steps from project conucting through poster presentations and clarify some ambiguities regarding the data reporting to EFSA.
