World Health Day is observed every year on April 7, marking the anniversary of the founding of the World Health Organization (WHO), to raise awareness of important public health issues and promote health on a global level.
This year’s World Health Day theme is “Together for Health: Stand with Science”, highlighting the importance of scientific collaboration in protecting the health of people, animals, plants, and the environment.
As part of the celebration, the City of Osijek is organizing an event titled “Health Day”, which will take place on April 25 in the morning hours at Trg Slobode in Osijek. The event aims to inform the public about health issues affecting the wider population, as well as to emphasize the importance of prevention and investment in health.
At the event, the Croatian Agency for Agriculture and Food will present the CROOH project and raise public awareness of the “One Health” concept, which brings together human, animal, and environmental health into a single, integrated approach.
